The Little Rock Picture Show presented by Kismet Entertainment will be held August 6-9 and feature the very best in Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror films from all over the globe.

The third annual Little Rock Horror Picture Show will be March 20-23. This year the festival is teaming up with the Arkansas Food Bank to “Take a Bite out of Hunger” because going hungry is a scary thing for too many families and children in the state of Arkansas. If you bring three or more non-perishable food items when you purchase tickets to LRHPS you’ll get $5 off the price of one full pass or $3 off the price of one day pass. LRFF programmer Levi Agee has a strong passion for comedy.  For this year’s Little Rock Horror Picture Show he has coordinated some special comedy events that include a special performance from Red Octopus Theater at the opening night festivities. This is a can’t miss event! Mockingbird Don’t Screen is the state’s only live comedic movie commentary troupe akin to Mystery Science Theater or Rifftrax. Mockingbird debuted years ago at the Little Rock Film Festival hosted by programmer Levi Agee and joined by members of Improv Little Rock, this time around the act will feature comedians Jason Thompson and Michael Brown in addition to riff master Agee. “I’m super pumped to bring back Mockingbird Don’t Screen back from the dead for the horror festival in addition to seeing Red Octopus perform opening night,” said Agee. “Aside from the amazing films the entertainment is top notch.” Mockingbird Don’t Screen will perform Saturday evening following Sound of the Mountain’s Live Score of...

The Little Rock Film Festival prides itself in providing educational opportunities for filmmakers from Arkansas and around the world. This year the Little Rock Horror Picture Show is continuing that tradition with three amazing panels. First we will be having a panel on acting featuring actors Brook Butler, Laurel Vail (Delivery) and Tom Williamson. They’ll discuss what it takes to be an actor today, what it is like to break into the industry amongst other topics. Perfect for anyone interested in becoming an actor. Second we will be having a panel on writing and directing with filmmakers Zack Parker (PROXY), Adam Schindler (writer of Delivery), and LRHPS alums Chad Crawford Kinkle (Jug Face) and Eric England (Madison County, Roadside). And third we will have a panel on special effects and movie makeup featuring local special effects artists Les Galusha and Stormy Marie. The third annual Little Rock Horror Picture Show will be March 20-23. The documentary As the Palaces Burn will play at this year’s Little Rock Horror Picture Show making it the first documentary to play at the Picture Show! As the Palaces Burn follows the band Lamb of God in what started out as a documentary for their fans and takes a drastic turn when their lead singer is accused of murder in the Czech Republic. The documentary turns into an taut thriller as the legal battles are fought. The film is directed by Don Argott (The Art of the Steal).  A definite must see! Point B from Director Conor Long is an homage to 1980’s science fiction films.  The film follows four friends who are trying to develop a clean energy machine only to discover that what they’ve invented is a rudimentary teleportation device. Starting February 21st at the special encore screening of last year’s audience award winning film, Jug Face, collection barrels will be on hand at the CALS Ron Robinson theater and Little Rock Film Festival office. The Little Rock Horror Picture Show is excited to present The Sacrament, the latest film from director Ti West (House of the Devil, The Innkeepers). The film stars actor/director Joe Swanberg (PROXY, Drinking Buddies) and LRFF alum and award winner actor/director Amy Seimetz (AMC’s The Killing, When We Lived in Miami). The film follows two journalists as they set out to document their friend’s search to find his missing sister.         Septic Man is the latest film from director Jesse T. Cook one of the producer’s of Exit Humanity, the grand jury prize winner from the 1st Little Rock Horror Picture Show.  A sewage worker gets trapped inside a septic tank during a water contamination crisis and undergoes a hideous transformation. The Little Rock Horror Picture Show is proud to announce that Zack Parker’s film PROXY will be screening at the festival. An intense horror thriller not for the faint of heart that was shot in Indiana. PROXY is a European-style suspense-thriller that promises to challenge the traditional cinematic form. Zack will be on hand for a Q&A at the festival! Another feature we’re proud to screen is Brian Netto’s Delivery. Delivery tells the story of Kyle and Rachel Massy, a young couple who agree to document their first pregnancy for a family-oriented reality show. The production spirals out-of-control after the cameras capture a series of unexplained events, leading Rachel to believe that a malevolent spirit has possessed their unborn child. The Little Rock Horror Picture Show showcases the very best in genre films from all around the globe every spring in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. Films in the Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Animated genres are all accepted and celebrated at the Little Rock Horror Picture Show. After two successful years the third annual promises to be one of the biggest film events in the state of Arkansas! Films made in Arkansas are free to submit. The Little Rock Horror Picture Show gives award for Best Arkansas Film, Best Short Film, Audience Award for Best Feature and Grand Jury Prize for Best Feature. Past winners of the Audience Award have included Eric England’s Madison County and Chad Crawford Kinkle’s Jug Face, and winners of the Grand Jury Award for Best Feature have included John Geddes’s Exit Humanity and Don Thacker’s Motivational Growth. The 3rd Annual Little Rock Horror Picture Show takes place March 21-23 in the brand new Arcade Theater in downtown Little Rock on President Clinton Avenue.
