With more than 25,000 people in attendance and more than 100 films, workshops, panels, and parties over the five-day Southern film festival, the sixth Annual LRFF showcased a strong and diverse film lineup from a pool of more than 1000 film submissions from 30 different countries. The 2012 LRFF official selections from international filmmakers competed for fabulous film festival prizes and awards in the Oxford American Award for Best Southern Film with a $10,000 cash prize, Golden Rock Best Narrative Feature, Golden Rock Best Documentary Feature, Best Short Film, Arkansas Times Audience Award, Best Arkansas Music Video, LRFF Youth!, and the Best Film “Made in Arkansas” categories. In addition, the LRFF awarded the Best Director and Best Actor in the “Made in Arkansas” competition.
