The festival was a huge success bringing films from all over the globe to Little Rock to scare fans and bringing filmmakers and actors to help educate aspiring Arkansas filmmakers and actors.  One of the highlights of the weekend was the Sound of the Mountain’s live score to Metropolis. Many people have said that it was one of the coolest events the Little Rock Film Festival had ever put on.  It was a not to miss event in the CALS Ron Robinson.

Magician/Side Show perfomer Paul Prater entertained the crowd between films with tricks and sideshow bits involving a bed of nails, spikes, and a bear trap. Paul Morphis also entertained the crowds on Friday evening of the fest as they waited for films with cool spooky music. A special thanks to JP, CT, Cody, Levi and Mallory as well as all of the volunteers who helped make this happen.

This event has been successful for three years and we will continue to grow it as we go. As a part of that growth we’ve made the decision to shorten the name a little bit in an effort to grow this festival’s reach.  Ever since the beginning we’ve wanted the Little Rock Horror Picture Show to be more than just horror. We’ve wanted to include sci-fi and fantasy, anime and other forms of animation and any kind of cool acts we can put on. In the past we’ve been blessed by special performances from Foul Play Cabaret and rapper 607 among many others. On Sunday night we announced that the new name of this festival: Little Rock Picture Show. We will continue to bring Arkansas the best of genre films from all over the world and the coolest experiences Little Rock has seen.
