Little Rock Film Festival Honors Philip Seymour Hoffman

The LRFF and CALS present a special weekend of films celebrating the work of the late, great Philip Seymour Hoffman. Fri Feb 7, ‘Magnolia’ 7pm. Sat Feb 8, 7pm ‘Charlie Wilson’s War’. Sunday Feb 9, 4pm ‘Capote’. Free. Ron Robinson Theater.


MAGNOLIA – An epic mosaic of interrelated characters in search of love, forgiveness, and meaning in the San Fernando Valley.


CHARLIE WILSON’S WAR – A drama based on a Texas congressman Charlie Wilson’s covert dealings in Afghanistan, where his efforts to assist rebels in their war with the Soviets have some unforeseen and long-reaching effects.




CAPOTE – Truman Capote, during his research for his book In Cold Blood, an account of the murder of a Kansas family, the writer develops a close relationship with Perry Smith, one of the killers.
