Silverdocs in Silver Spring, Maryland is considered to be one of the top two or three documentary film festivals in the country. This years program which takes place June 20-26 is flush with titles right out of the Little Rock Film Festival. We are happy to have featured these films first, but congratulate all of the filmmakers on the honor of being accepted to screen at Silverdocs.
The LRFF Arkansas Times Audience Award winner The Interrupters will be the Silverdocs Centerpiece Film, and the Revenge of the Electric Car will close the festival. Other LRFF alum who will be screening in Silver Spring are Hot Coffee, Hell and Back Again, If a Tree Falls: The Story of the Earth Liberation Front, and Dragonslayer.
Another film screening at the festival is Where Soldiers Come From, a film about soldiers from small town American going off to fight in Afghanistan, which was partly shot by my brother, and LRFF co-founder Craig Renaud.
