Amman Abbasi, one of our programmers at the LRFF, and a talented filmmaker and musician, is at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner this week and will be sending back regular dispatches to us here in Little Rock. He just arrived and sent this message by iphone “Arrived in Cannes supporting my short film, L7, in the short film corner. The first day was amazing attending a panel hosted by Michel Gondry and gonna check out Lars Von Trier’s Melancholia”. Brent Renaud
Brent Renaud is the co-founder and artistic director of the Little Rock Film Festival. He owns 501Film, a documentary production company based in New York City, with his brother Craig. The Renaud Brothers have won an IDA Award, two Columbia Dupont Awards, two Overseas Press Club Awards, and have been nominated for an Emmy and a DGA award. Brent splits his time between Little Rock and NYC.-
